About Us
What is H10?
H10 Ministries is a 501c3 non-profit organization that seeks to touch lives, change hearts, and love people to Christ by helping provide for their spiritual and physical needs. The name H10 comes from Hebrews 10 in the Bible.
“Let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.”
Hebrews 10:22-25.”
It is the heart of this ministry to be submissive to God’s will and perfect plan. We believe that it is only in His strength that lives can be changed and amazing things can be accomplished. Our prayer is that we would decrease and allow God to increase daily in our lives and in our work.
Our History
H10 ministries began in 2006 with a simple desire to share God’s love and a warm meal with the homeless community. Armed with a Bible and a pan of chicken enchiladas, Julie and a small team of volunteers headed downtown to find some new friends. The first night we shared a meal and a wonderful time of prayer and conversation with 13 homeless men and women. Our hearts were overflowing with love for the lost and hurting, the people who did not have family to call on or a safe place to call home. Julie and Jennifer followed God’s leading and within a year the weekly meetings quickly grew into a wonderful team of volunteers and 200-250 homeless men and women sharing a meal and God’s word together. Although we no longer organize weekly feedings, H10 Ministries has expanded to serve our community in many different ways.
